Alabama Power Company Corporate Headquarters Renovation

This historical preservation project upgraded and restored a trio of buildings serving as the Alabama Power Company's corporate headquarters since 1928.  The buildings stretched over 19 stories containing a total of more than 190,000 square feet.  The project placed special emphasis on restoration of original materials, specification of new materials to complement existing work in place, and upgrading the buildings' dated infrastructure.



Jefferson State / City of Clanton Business Development Center

This project represented a joint venture between the city of Clanton Alabama and Jefferson State Community College to develop a mixed use facility to serve the students and provide the city a venue for trade shows and conventions.  The facility includes a 15,000 square foot exhibition center, a 600 seat theater with full stage and rigging options, six conference rooms, and a culinary arts program.

Smithfield Court Modernization

Smithfield Court is a development owned and maintained by the Housing Authority Birmingham District.  The campus encompasses six city blocks and approximately 325,000 square feet of housing and community services buildings.  My role on this project was to participate in the construction documentation phase, and to act as lead on the construction administration phase.  I developed and maintained close relationships with the officials involved in this project over it's nine month construction duration.





Brookwood Medical Office Building

This 80,000 square foot M.O.B. (Medical Office Building) was built on the campus of the existing Brookwood Hospital in Homewood, Alabama.  As part of the design team, I produced detailed architectural drawings and specifications, and contributed to the construction administration phase of the project.

HealthSouth Corporate Headquarters and Conference Center

This 210,000 square foot corporate headquarters and conference center was completed in 1996. As part of the project team, I produced architectural drawings and specifications, researched materials and equipment, documented program requirements, and participated in construction administration.


St. Luke's Hospital Addition and Renovations

The project delivered a 12,000 square foot addition and related minor interior renovations to the St. Luke's Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.  In my role supporting the architectural staff, I concentrated on the production of architectural construction documents.

Rusk Rehabilitation Hospital at Columbia Missouri

This 68,000 square foot rehabilitation hospital included hydrotherapy pools, patient rooms, administrative suite, Activities of Daily Living suite, dining, and support services.  In my role I produced architectural documentation and specifications as part of the project team.

HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Florence South Carolina

Regions Bank East Division New Branch Roll-out

As manager of the east division of the Regions Bank account, I oversaw projects ranging from new branch construction, interior renovations, signage upgrades and replacements, data system and security system upgrades, and corporate build-outs.


Compass Bank National Branch Roll-out Program

As VP of Construction for Compass Bank, I managed architects, engineers, general contractors, vendors, and equipment suppliers in the delivery of more than 100 new retail banking facilities across the country.  These buildings were prototypical in their initial design with minor modifications made to satisfy site demands and the developer's requirements.



Robert G Pitts Auburn Opelika Airport

The Robert G. Pitts airport project was a replacement for 1960's era terminal terminal building serving the Auburn/Opelika communities.  The preconstruction budget estimated total construction cost at $9.5M.  The scope of the project included new site storm water management, access roads, taxiways, and aprons.


Richard Shelby Transportation Technology Center at Auburn University

 Phase II of this project included 120,000 square feet of space divided between two buildings.  Preconstruction cost estimates placed the total construction cost at $42M.  The scope included laboratories, classrooms, offices, and a level 10 clean room.

Birmingham Zoo Trails of Africa

The Trails of Africa project for the Birmingham Zoo was a $12.5M dollar elephant exhibit encompassing 17 acres.
